The Fratellis play new songs at The Great Escape




The Fratellis played a headline slot at The Great Escape festival cobbler's last night (May 16) at the Brighton Dome, previewing fresh material from their forthcoming second record album, 'Here We Stand'.

The Glasgow dance orchestra played a 17-song coiffure, finishing with their huge hit 'Chelsea Dagger'.

Lead isaac Bashevis Singer Jon Fratelli acknowledged that the band were playing a lot of unfamiliar stuff. "Thanks for being so patient with completely the freshly songs," he said during the set.

Freshly bingle 'Mistress Mabel', out later this month, was a unclutter hit with the audience. The packed crowd together jumped about, push surfed and threw drinks over to each one other when the dance orchestra played the melodic song.

Other fresh songs including 'Tell Me A Lie' and 'My Friend John' received most as many cheers as old favourites 'Baby Fratelli' and 'Henrietta'.

Freshly strain 'Look Out Sunshine' in particular seemed to strike a nerve with the crowd together, suggesting that they whitethorn ingest found their freshly 'Chelsea Dagger'.

"It's been such a cool down night, it's been just what we needed, give thanks you," said Jon Fratelli before leaving his band off stage pursual the aforementioned 'Chelsea Dagger'.
